About Our Practice

EMDR Therapy in Vermont for Individuals, Couples, and Families

In-person and online support to help you feel more connected, calm, and whole.

Welcome to EMDR Counseling and Consultation, where I work with individuals, couples, and families who are carrying more than they let on. On the outside, life may look fine—but inside, something doesn’t feel settled. You’re tired of the same emotional cycles, relationship patterns, and internal pressure that won’t let up, no matter how much you accomplish.

In this space, we slow down. We gently explore how past experiences—even ones you might not think “count”—are shaping how you respond, relate, and feel today. Using relational EMDR therapy, we work together to shift patterns at the root—not just the surface.

I offer in-person sessions in Vermont and secure online EMDR therapy for clients in Vermont, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Many clients are surprised by how effective EMDR can be online—and how freeing it feels to do the work in a space that feels safe and familiar.

Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes long, depending on your needs and the flow of our work. This extended format supports the depth and efficiency of relational EMDR, giving you space to settle in, process, and integrate without feeling rushed.

In person sessions are conducted at my office in Rutland, VT or an otherwise mutually agreed upon location.

Supporting the Next Generation

—and Staying Rooted in the Work Myself

In addition to working with clients, I mentor and train other therapists in the craft of EMDR therapy. I’m part of the faculty at The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy, where I help new clinicians learn how to use EMDR to support clients in meaningful, lasting ways.

But teaching is also part of how I keep growing. I'm grateful to be mentored by Deany Laliotis, the leading voices in Relational EMDR Therapy and a direct student of EMDR’s founder, Francine Shapiro.

My background also includes advanced training in attachment and family therapy. This means I’m especially attuned to how your past relationships—even the ones you don’t think “count”—can shape how you respond today. Whether you feel distant from others, overwhelmed by your emotions, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shift, we’ll work together to gently trace the roots of those feelings—so they don’t keep running the show.

I draw from:

A Note on Technology and Privacy

As a small business owner, I appreciate the ways technology can streamline the behind-the-scenes work of running a practice. I use secure, HIPAA-compliant systems to support administrative tasks like scheduling, reminders, and billing—so the process of starting and staying in therapy feels easier for you.  To ensure I continue to grow and provide the best care possible, I remain in active consultation with trusted colleagues and mentors who support and challenge me in the work.

But when it comes to the therapy itself, it’s all about human presence. I don’t use AI (artificial intelligence) to record, transcribe, document in your health record or guide clinical decision-making. Our work together is grounded in attunement, connection, and care—human to human.
